Today is my first class for BEL260. My lecturer's name is Miss Zuraidah or her nickname Miss Zu. For this semester, I have 3 BEL260 classes in a week. That is on Tuesday morning ( 8.00-10.00 ) and night ( 8.00-10.00 ). Another class is on Thursday morning ( 10.00-12.00 ).


During this class, we listen to explanation from Miss Zu about introduction on BEL260 syllabus. BEL260 is the code for Preparotary Course For MUET. This course equips students with the skills and strategies to perform effectively in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET). It covers major aspects of reading, writing, speaking and listening.


From the course information that I get :


At the end of the course, the student should  be able to :

1. Acquire the appropriate skills and strategies to attain a band 4, 5, or 6 in the MUET.
2. Read and respond to academic texts.
3. Plan and write an essay based on the requirements of the MUET.
4. Take part in the discussion according to the requirements of the MUET.
5. Listen and extract information.

As a part of assessment, we had to prepare 2 portfolio :

•  Blog and Twitter 
• Provide file for any handout that given by Miss Zu
